Cedar Edge Farm has been certified organic since 2007. All of the produce, vegetable transplants, herbs, and cut flowers that we grow are organically certified, guaranteeing our customers the safest and most delicious product.
In Rhode Island, organic certification is overseen by the Department of Environmental Management’s Division of Agriculture. To obtain certification, a farm must participate in a rigorous application, review, and inspection process. This ensures that producers obtaining organic certification meet all of the National Organic Program standards.
We have never used synthetic pesticides on our crops. Being organically certified is a way to reinforce and expand our commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
